Always loved this song by Bobbie Gentry (from 1967). This arrangement is in drop-D tuning, the “feel” turned out similar to what I did on “Man of Constant Sorrow”.
Played on the Loef “Augusta”.

Thought you might want some extra info so you could upgrade the description for this amazing video - and give the guitarist some credit and exposure.
His name is Eric Mongrain. He’s a 26-year old Canadian fro Montreal.
When he was 14 he was inspired by Hendrix, Metallica, and Kurt Cobain, and started playing electric guitar. Four years later he discovered Bach and began playing classical aacoustic. He performed in subways, street corners, anywhere.
He has been backing up Quebec musicians and will have an album of his own out soon.

This is what I learned from Edgar Cruz’s DVD. I just HAD to learn this piece after hearing Edgar perform it. The music/tab (included on the DVD) is transcribed precisely, but that only scratches the surface. The DVD covers tons of valuable information on technique, variations and alternate fingerings (many of which you see here). I’m not claiming to be a virtuoso - I’m just showing off Edgar’s work. The magic is in the arrangement.
