acoustic guitar?
i want to learn how to play the guitar but is there in a diffrence in sound. ( i wanna play acoustic rock) and what is a good guitar to start off with but is cheap
A good standard yamaha is cheap and can sound very respectable when played well. just say a beginner gutar and the salesman will likely take you right to it
Expect it to take a while to sound good in your hands. but dont get discouraged. learn to read if you can but practice scales in the dark to get your feel for the frets. say the notes including sharps and flats as you play them for a while.
If you like rock you will almost certainly want to go electric eventually. you can also get a fender SQUIRE electric for a decent price. (relatively speaking)

My g/f asked me the same question lately. I bought her an Epiphone acoustic-electric, and we got a good price on it at:

For price range…..you could go anywhere from an Ibanez to a Fender, to an Epiphone, and still pay a reasonable price for an acoustic-electric, or just an acoustic.
Best wishes.

The brand First Act is a good beginner guitar company, and is probably the cheapest brand, so is Yamaha, and Squier.

Honestly I wouldnt worry too much about the brand of an acoustic guitar, if you want somthing cheap a Rouge might be good, the thing Iv noticed with cheap guitars its mainly how long the guitar will stay in tuned but if you an electric tuner(if you dont have one I would suggest picking one up, it makes life alot easier)you can just put back in tune no problem every once in a while.
