It may sounds like an obvious question, but there are a few more details. I'm currently learning a solo which is played on the higher frets on my electric guitar, and my first two fingers begin to hurt really quickly. The solo has a lot bends and slides, which might be the cause.
I know it would be like this if playing acoustic, but is it normal to develop sore fingers quickly from electric guitar?
P.S. The strings aren't rusty or old.
Of Course. Happens to me when I don't play for a while or play for a long time. If you wanted to, just search this product called "FingerEase." Its a lubricant for the strings on your guitar that makes playing easier and more comfortable.
Hi,
I have an acoustic guitar and I am trying to learn how to play barre chords and I am not having much luck. Can anyone give me some tips that will make playing easier and less painful for my finger? Also, any tips on tuning?
Thanks
Well, you're not making it any easier for yourself by playing them on an Acoustic, but it may help your wrist if you move it forward when you press down. Other than that, it'll just take practice to get your muscles used to moving that way. After a while, they'll get used to it, and you'll get callouses on your fingers, and it won't hurt so bad.
Hope that helps!
